TOC Camping

CAMPING

We are not a public campsite, but a space reserved for MU A.P.S. members, created for those who choose to spend a few days in a sustainable way while taking part in the project's activities.

To visit us and stay in our spaces, it is necessary to fill outTHIS FORM.
Once we have processed your information, we will send you a confirmation.

Our campsite offers three comfortable tent pitches and a fixed camper for guests (2 intimate places, suitable for couples), equipped with electricity and running water.

We also have a camper space (unfortunately exposed to the sun) where we can only provide an electrical hookup; black water disposal is not available.

TOC is an ecological place that uses dry compost toilets with ash and leaves, which we use every year to fertilize our garden.

TOC Location

The TOC social campsite hosts a limited number of participants (maximum 8 people), which is exactly what makes it such a peaceful, relaxing and welcoming place.

The sea is only 350 meters away and there is no need to use any transport to reach it.

Guests staying at TOC can take part in the project's associative activities: taking care of the social garden, looking after the chickens, participating in cultural meetings and artistic activities.

We are located in the heart of the Mediterranean: in Sicily, on the border between the Vendicari Nature Reserve and San Lorenzo.

Sicily TOC

The area where we are located marks the border between South Vendicari Nature Reserve and the village of San Lorenzo, a small seaside district of Noto overlooking the Ionian Sea.

The Vendicari Wildlife Oasis is one of those places where Sicily still feels ancient and wild.

Between Noto and Marzamemi, the coastline constantly changes: low dunes, Mediterranean vegetation, salt lakes, lagoons populated by flamingos, golden beaches and rocky stretches diving into the Ionian Sea.

The reserve extends over more than 1500 hectares and is famous for birdwatching, caretta caretta turtles and its almost untouched beaches.

TOC Detail

Inside Vendicari, time seems to slow down. There are pale dirt paths, the scent of myrtle and lentisk, old Swabian towers worn by salt, the abandoned tuna fishery and the typical silence of Sicilian coastal reserves, interrupted only by the wind and cicadas.

The beaches of Calamosche, Marianelli and Vendicari each have their own character, but they all share the same crystal-clear water and a rare feeling of peace and isolation.

San Lorenzo, on the other hand, represents the more inhabited and human side of this paradise. It is not a real town, but a long stretch of summer houses, white villas, sandy roads and direct access to the sea.

The numbered roads — from First to Ninth Street — are almost an emotional geography for those who know this coastline.

Ninth Street, where we are located, has something special. It is quieter than the central areas of San Lorenzo and maintains a deep connection with the surrounding nature reserve.

During the day the light is intense, almost African; in the evening the salty wind and the constant sound of the waves arrive.

At night this place becomes truly special: very little artificial lighting, a sky full of stars, the smell of salt in the air and the constant sound of the sea.

San Lorenzo Map

San Lorenzo is a place deeply connected to the sea: quiet during winter, but lively in summer thanks to beach clubs, restaurants, small markets and services for people staying in the nearby villas.

Life in the area mainly revolves around San Lorenzo, Reitani and the nearby village of Marzamemi.
